Mental Health Resources and Support

The Churchville-Chili Central School District recognizes the importance of well-being, in which every individual realizes their potential, can cope with the normal stresses of life, can work productively and is able to contribute to their community. We believe that mental health is a component of overall health and well-being.

As part of overall health and wellness, mental health includes:

  • A sense of self-esteem and self-confidence
  • The ability to identify, express and regulate emotions
  • The ability to set and achieve goals
  • Recognition of one’s creative skills
  • The ability to expand knowledge and skills
  • The ability to feel and show empathy for others
  • The ability to create and maintain satisfying relationships

CCCSD utilizes school counselors, school psychologists and school social workers to support this integrated mental health and wellness model. Our mental health team utilizes their education and expertise to provide support to students, families, classroom staff and administrators.

In addition to our mental health team, Churchville-Chili houses a satellite clinic operated by the University of Rochester.  This clinic provides mental health counseling to students and families throughout the school day.  The University of Rochester also provides the mental health team with professional development opportunities and consultation support for students who are struggling with mental health and emotional regulation.

The Mental Health Team at Churchville-Chili is comprised of school counselors, school psychologists and school social workers.  Each of these team members play an integral role in the student success.
