Good afternoon Churchville-Chili Families,
As a district, we are planning for a full reopening, five days a week for all students this fall. With that said, we are facing a bus driver shortage, along with districts across the county. As we begin planning for school reopening, we would like to assess your child’s transportation needs. We are requesting that all parents/guardians complete this form for each student in their household attending school during the 2021-22 school year, grades K-12. We ask that submissions be complete by Friday, July 30, to allow time to create and prepare bus routes and schedules.
We will also be implementing a new transportation app to connect parents and guardians with the latest bus stop information as well as share timely messages from the Transportation Department. The Stopfinder Communications App will allow you to access your child’s bus schedule, review live updates when there is a situation affecting your child's bus or scheduled bus times, and submit transportation forms, making it easier to request necessary changes.
With continued uncertainty around guidance from the New York State Department of Health as it relates to school reopening, I wanted to make you aware of the tools we use to stay connected and share information in a clear, concise and timely manner. In addition to our Link Community Newsletter and district website, we utilize Instant Connect pre-recorded phone calls, eNews, and social media platforms to keep you informed throughout the school year.
To be sure you receive important information and updates, please be sure to contact the registrar at [email protected] or 585-293-1800 extension 2041, if you have changed your phone number, email address, or home address. You can also opt-in to receive emails from your school or the district by subscribing to eNews. As a reminder, you should review your selections in eNews each fall to be sure you are receiving information from the appropriate school as your children move to a new school building.
All parents and guardians are also encouraged to sign up for our Infinite Campus Parent Portal. This portal provides access to grades, attendance, important information about student accounts, and so much more. Parents of students in grades prekindergarten-12 must contact the District Office at 293-4457 to receive a Parent Portal Activation Letter. This letter will contain the necessary information and an activation key to set up an account in the parent portal.
Our elementary schools will continue to use the PikMyKid app for student drop-off and pick-up. Parents and guardians with students in grades K-4 who plan to provide transportation for their child, either regularly or on an as needed basis, are encouraged to download the PikMyKid app. More information on PikMyKid can be found here.
We anticipate sending frequent eNews updates and messages throughout the month of August as we prepare for reopening. Please look for the LINK newsletter and calendar to arrive in homes in early August.
