Dear Churchville-Chili Families,
I hope you were able to enjoy the warmer weather and sunshine with your family over the weekend. Last night, the Board of Education amended the year-end school calendar. Given that students and teachers worked through the previously scheduled April vacation, the last day for students will be Thursday, June 18. Students in grades K-6 will receive a narrative summary, in lieu of a report card. Students in grades 7-12 will receive a pass/fail for their fourth quarter grade and an overall numerical grade average of the ten, twenty and twenty-five week marking period. Fourth quarter “grades” can be found on the Infinite Campus portal.
Student Materials and Belongings Retrieval - you will be receiving a letter from your child’s principal outlining dates and times to pick up materials and belongings, as well as return library books, instruments, chromebooks, or athletic uniforms.
Capital Project Update - the Churchville Elementary and Chestnut Ridge playgrounds will be unavailable beginning June 1st and throughout the summer due to the installation of new play areas. Churchville Elementary kitchen renovations will begin on June 1st; therefore, there will be limited access to CES throughout the summer. Also, beginning June 1st, lunches will be served at the Churchville Fire Department instead of CES.
School Budget Vote 2020-2021 - Our budget vote is scheduled for June 9, 2020 by absentee ballot only. All district households will receive two ballots in the mail between May 27 and June 3. Additional ballots may be requested for qualified household members by calling 293-1800 ext. 2305 or online at: www.cccsd.org/BallotRequest.aspx. All absentee ballots must be received at District Office by 5 p.m., June 9, 2020. Voter qualifications are:
You must be a U.S. citizen
You must be 18 years of age
You must be a Churchville-Chili resident for at least 30 days prior to vote
Transportation for 2020-2021 School Year - We are asking parents to let us know if their child will not require transportation for the 2020-21 school year. Having this information in advance will allow us to route more efficiently, potentially reduce ride times and provide more accurate arrival times. If you have not had an opportunity to do this yet, please complete this online form if your child will not be in need of transportation in the fall. Should your circumstances change at a later date, you may contact our transportation department to reinstate transportation.
