Instant Connect Message from Superintendent - October 12, 2020

Good evening Churchville-Chili families,

This message is to inform you that one high school student, one middle school student, and one Fairbanks Road Elementary school student in our school district have been diagnosed with COVID-19 and placed into isolation. Two of the cases are directly connected. After completing its investigation, the Monroe Department of Public Health has determined that the students were exposed outside of the school environment. Therefore, the Department of Health has not recommended that the school or classrooms be closed. The students were last in school on October 2 and 6, before quarantining. They will not return to in-person learning until receiving clearance from county health officials.

It is not necessary to take action unless you are personally notified by the Department Of Health. Please continue to monitor your child each day for symptoms of COVID-19 and complete the daily health screening using the PikMyKid app. If your child develops COVID-19 symptoms, please contact your child’s healthcare provider as soon as possible. For all other health-related questions, please utilize the New York State Coronavirus hotline at 1-888-364-3065.
