Message from Superintendent - January 4, 2022

Good afternoon, this is Superintendent Lori Orologio calling all Churchville-Chili families and staff on Tuesday, January 4, with a few important updates.

First, we have received a second allotment of At Home COVID test kits for students. Parents or guardians may pick up kits at the District Office Monday - Friday, from 9 a.m. to 3 p.m. at door 26 OR Sunday-Thursday evenings between 5 and 6:30 p.m., beginning tomorrow, using door 31 in the Middle School North Cafeteria. These kits are meant for your personal use and not eligible for the Test To Stay process. Should any household member test positive, please report it directly to the Monroe County Department of Health using their website link. Student quarantine timeframes are outlined by the county and are a minimum of ten days, unless they are eligible for the seven-day Test To Stay process.

Next week an email will be sent to families regarding the Stopfinder Communication app for transportation. Having a Stopfinder account will allow you to access your child’s bus schedule, review live updates when there is a situation affecting your child’s bus times, and submit transportation forms. Your email in the Parent Portal must be up-to-date in order to receive the informational email. If you do not have a Parent Portal account, you may sign up for one by calling 293-4457.

Last, I want to remind you that our Phase VI Capital Project vote is scheduled for next Tuesday, January 11, from noon-9 p.m. in the Middle School North Cafeteria. This project includes significant renovations in the middle school north, roof replacement in middle school south/NGA, athletic turf fields, parking lot replacement at the transportation facility and the middle school including infrastructure for electric charging stations, and the addition of a separate exit from the high school onto Buffalo Road. For more detailed information about the project, please visit the Capital Project page of our district website.

As always, if you missed any portion of this message, it can be found in the news section of our district website at www.cccsd.org. Thank you.
