Rochester Area Crime Stoppers awarded C-C 10th-grader Jonathan Raplee their Good Citizen Award for 2022. Raplee was honored for saving his grandmother’s life during a devastating fire at their home last fall, and for calmly providing vital assistance to first responders.

Representatives from Crime Stoppers, the Churchville Fire Department, the Rochester Police Department and other local dignitaries and school officials attended a special presentation at District Office on May 4 to recognize the young man’s actions.

The Good Citizen Award is given to a high school student who performs heroically while assisting first responders. Raplee was also honored earlier this year with the RPD’s Do the Right Thing Award.
