Buffalo Bills Play 60 Program at CCMS
This year, fifth and sixth grade students at the middle school will be participating in the Buffalo Bills Play 60 Program during their Physical Education classes.
The Play 60 Program is a five month health and wellness program designed to promote well-rounded positive physical and mental health for 5th-8th grade students in Buffalo and Rochester.
There will be a new challenge each month that supports a healthy lifestyle. The focus for the month of February is overall wellness, encouraging students to drink water throughout the day rather than sugary drinks, get at least 9 hours of sleep, limit screen time to two hours or less outside of school.
A newsletter will be shared with students and families each month, explaining that month's focus, providing ideas on how students can accomplish their monthly goals and sharing resources for families. The newsletter for February can be found here. Families can also use the overall wellness chart and handout to help reach their goals throughout the month,
Sixth grade CCCSD student Reagan was selected as a winner during the Buffalo Bills Play 60 Program November challenge! Reagan attended the game on December 29 with Ms. Ziemba and was recognized along with other November challenge winners.
