FRS Students Explore Creativity in New Makerspace Lesson

Students at FRS are putting their creativity to the test with a new Makerspace lesson inspired by the children’s book Not a Box by Antoinette Portis. In the story, a simple cardboard box becomes anything the imagination allows—a rocket, a castle, or even a robot.

Using the book as inspiration, students transformed ordinary toilet paper rolls into entirely new creations. The activity challenges them to think outside the box, explore their ideas, and bring their imaginative concepts to life.

This hands-on lesson encourages problem-solving, creative thinking, and collaboration, giving students a fun way to explore creativity in action.
