CCCSD champions compete at Empire State Games

Students from all five CCCSD schools joined more than 200 students from throughout the region to compete at the Empire State Games at SUNY Brockport today.

Now in its 38th year, the Empire State Games for the Physically Challenged offers competition in a variety of adapted sports. Event categories include Archery, Track & Field, Power Wheelchair, Obstacle Courses and other recreational activities adapted to best suit the athletes' unique abilities.

Churchville-Chili students attended a Champions breakfast at the high school before leaving for the event, and were treated to a surprise guest as Cee Cee visited to send them off with well wishes.

Before competing, all competitors celebrated the day by carrying a banner and parading into the venue, then hearing from organizers about the history and mission of the event.

Congratulations to all our athletes!
