Churchville Elementary

Instant Connect Message from Mr. Johnson - 9/9/20

Good Afternoon, this is Principal, Dave Johnson, calling on Wednesday, September 9, with a few reminders.

Your child’s teacher has added your child to their Google Classroom.  If your child is attending REMOTELY on Thursday morning, have your child log in to their Chromebook and go to Google Classroom to join their class.  If possible, do this before tomorrow morning so your child is familiar with their Google Classroom page.  Your child’s teacher will post a schedule and the Zoom link.

As a reminder, All families need to register with PikMyKid.  This is how you will complete your child’s COVID-19 Health screening each day.  If you are picking your child up from school, this is also how we will identify you and have your child ready for pick up at the end of the day.
Directions are available on the Churchville Chili District website at . Click on the Reopening page at the top and then look for the PikMyKid link on the right under “Important Links & Resources”. Please register today.
If you are having trouble registering for the pikmykid app, make sure the numbers you are using are the same numbers that the district has in Infinite Campus. If you need to change or correct a phone number please call the registrar at 293-1800 extension 2041, or the help line at extension 3200.
If you are still unable to register the for the app and will be picking up your child, you may call the CES office at 293-2022 and we will put your child on the pick up list. We use this method in addition to the app until the issues with the app are resolved.
There will also be a link on the district webpage for the daily health screening if a family is unable to load the App on their phone.
We look forward to starting school tomorrow!

About our school

Principal Dave Johnson
Churchville Elementary School has a rich history. Built in 1937 as a Works Progress Administration Project, this project helped put people back to work during the Depression. The school was built as the Union Free School District No. 4 and served grades 1-12. When Churchville-Chili Central School district was established in 1950, the CES school building was the district school, providing education for grades 1-12.
Our current enrollment includes 419 students in kindergarten through grade 4. Our school day begins at 9:15 a.m. and ends at 3:25 p.m.  Students learn in a nurturing, supportive environment that provides the tools to meet and exceed the district and state learning standards in English Language Arts, math, social studies and science. Many unique programs and projects at CES strengthen student learning. Click on any of the links located to the left to learn more about our school or contact David Johnson, Principal, at [email protected].
