First boys double tennis team in school history wins Section V title!
On May 11, Ben Davis and Connor Starr wrote their names into C-C SHS history books by capturing the very first Saints Section V doubles championship in boys tennis. 
 
Connections made, experiences shared—Pen pals at CES
Second-graders at Churchville Elementary School have been exchanging letters with special friends at the Rochester Institute of Technology throughout this school year.  
Nurturing nature and knowledge
Back in October of 2018, fifth- and sixth-graders at the Middle School began preparing for the arrival of about 150 brown trout eggs. They hoped to hatch and raise the fish as part of their Trout in the Classroom experiment.  
2019 NHS Teacher of the Year
The Churchville-Chili Senior High Chapter of National Honor Society has selected math teacher Christian Case as the 2019 Churchville Chili Teacher of the Year.
 
"Survivors"
Churchville-Chili students gathered in the C-C Performing Arts Center to hear the stories of 10 teenagers who found themselves in the middle of World War II and the Holocaust.
 
Tomorrow’s inventors are developing today
Students at the Middle School have put their creativity to work on a technology that has challenged engineers for over 50 years: magnetic levitation transportation systems or maglev, for short.  
Life Skills class members donate $1,122 to H4H
For the past 14 years, students in Life Skills class have handcrafted decorative holiday favors and donated the money raised to local charities. This year, they proudly presented a check to Homesteads for Hope Community Farm. 
 
Section V Athletics Scholarship winners
Congratulations to Ty Raines (wrestling) and Serafina Wezelis (girls bowling) on winning Section V Athletics Scholarships for the 2018-19 winter sports season. 
Kostarellis signs Letter of Intent to University of Memphis 
Churchville-Chili High School runner Peter Kostarellis has signed a National Letter of Intent to compete for the University of Memphis NCAA Division I Tigers cross country/track program. Kostarellis competed in three varsity sports as a Saint — cross country, indoor track and outdoor track —  earning First Team All-Greater Rochester in each of them. 
Pollinators find friends at Fairbanks Road School
When visiting speaker Susan Coyle, the 4-H Program leader from Cornell Cooperative Extension, arrived at FRS, she was greeted with a hallway decorated top to bottom with artwork of bees and bee facts created by second-graders.  
Students learn love for the community at CES
CES third-grader Grace Hasselberg had an idea. She read about an international charity competition called Canstruction® that brings architects and engineers together to build megastructures from cans of food. Competitors donate the food to local food banks. She thought her school could build a Canstruction, too.  
Kids Heart Challenge results at Chestnut Ridge!
Our CRS students and community raised $23,118 for the American Heart Association this year - bringing the lifetime total raised by this one school to more than $280,000. 
2019 Best Community for Music Education
Churchville-Chili CSD has received the NAMM Foundation’s award honoring the Best Communities for Music Education for the fourth year in a row. Only 623 school districts in the United States received this designation for 2019.
