The Board of Education approved this 2020-21 school calendar at its February 11 Board of Education meeting.  
Water: a precious resource
Middle school earth science standards still include studying global resources like water, but teachers are finding ways to make learning more exciting, collaborative and hands-on. 
Building community partnerships to benefit students
A connection was made with the Rochester chapter of the National Association of Women in Construction, whose members include architects, lawyers, tradespeople and contractors. They invited CES students to participate in NAWIC’s national Block Kids building competition.  
Studying light and sound at FRS
Fairbanks Road School first-grade science teams used creativity and simple materials to build devices to communicate over long distances. 
MS students learn what CTE has to offer
Our seventh- and eighth-graders filled the halls at Monroe 2-Orleans BOCES’ WEMOCO building, visiting the Career and Technical Education classes to learn what the programs have to offer. 
Going the distance to open career doors
The world is full of exciting jobs, you just need to know where to look. Seventh-graders got a fun introduction to career discovery recently, via a virtual trip to the Pro Football Hall of Fame. 
Saints visit Cleveland
Our Saints boys varsity basketball team took an unforgettable trip to Cleveland in January. 
Fitness without boundaries
PE teachers at Churchville Elementary and Chestnut Ridge recently inaugurated a new cardiovascular endurance challenge for third- and fourth-graders: the C-C 500 relay. 
District adopts new alma mater
The Churchville-Chili Board of Education officially adopted a new District Alma Mater at its January 28, 2020, meeting. Churchville-Chili High School Choral Director Mr. Erik Reinhart proposed a new alma mater, Saints Pride, which he wrote and composed. The song was performed and recorded by members of the Varsity Vocals and is posted below. 
Inspired: Teen Show at MAG
Artwork by CCHS AP Studio Art students was on display at the Memorial Art Gallery's Inspired: Teen Show. 
Four CCHS juniors selected for apprenticeship program

Congratulations to our students in the Engineering and Metal Fabrication Academy at CTE/WEMOCO. Over 100 students from around the region applied for the Finger Lakes Youth Apprenticeship Program; only 36 were signed.

C-C artists featured at RIT student art show
Many Churchville-Chili students were represented at the RIT Starts Here student art show. Ninth-grader Tristan Harris received the prestigious School of Film and Animation Visual Storytelling Award.
