Lottery-based UPK program application open for fall 2022

The Churchville-Chili School District is now accepting applications for the Universal Prekindergarten (UPK) program in the fall of 2022. The program is anticipated to support approximately 54 children in our school district who will be four years old by December 1, 2022. This UPK opportunity is available at no cost to families who reside within the Churchville-Chili Central School District during the 2022-23 school year. 

There will be three full-day classrooms, one at each of our elementary schools, 5 days/week following the Churchville-Chili school calendar. Selection for the program is based upon a random lottery drawing, and we cannot guarantee placement at any one school as there are a limited number of spaces available at each building.

In order to be considered, the district must receive your completed application by 5 p.m. on January 7, 2022. Your application will enter your child into the lottery drawing, which will be held in January 20, at 5:30 p.m. Our lottery is random; therefore, all applications whether received the first hour they were available or the last hour before the deadline will have an equal chance. All applicants will be notified via email by Monday, January 24, 2022, with their building placement or position on the waitlist. Families who are selected during this process will receive information in the mail to complete the registration process and confirm participation.

Completing the application does not guarantee acceptance into this program. Parents on the waitlist will be notified should a space become available. Once the lottery drawing is complete anyone who is qualified can asked to be placed at the bottom ohe waiting list for the upcoming school year.
