Another Shining Golden Apple Award Winner!
The Churchville-Chili School District is proud of our many wonderful teachers who have received WROC TV Channel 8’s coveted Golden Apple Award over the years. Our latest winner is Churchville Elementary School teacher Katie McArdle who was nominated by the parents of one of her kindergarten students.
 
Mary Poppins Flies Into CCCSD
Churchville-Chili Senior High School will perform the Broadway musical, Mary Poppins, this spring. Performances are at 7 p.m. on March 23, 24 and 25 and at 2 p.m. on March 26 at the CCPAC.
 
CRS Takes a Trip Around the World
Chestnut Ridge Elementary students assembled in the cafeteria recently for a special learning experience. They were invited to board CRS Airways flight 2023 where they buckled up for an exciting excursion to Algeria, Cameroon, China, Congo, Honduras and more – 13 countries in all – before disembarking safe and sound back at school.
 
Hidden in Plain Sight
We will be hosting a Hidden in Plain Sight presentation on Thursday, April 13 at 6 p.m. in our MS North Library. This program educates MS/HS families about how teens use everyday items to hide evidence of risky behaviors. Seats are limited; registration is required. 
 
Dominic Turturro Receives Do the Right Thing Award
The Rochester Police Department's Do the Right Thing Award was presented to Churchville-Chili High School student Dominic Turturro in a ceremony on March 2.

Future Educators Club
In honor of Public Schools Week, ACT for Education is focusing on teaching as a high-impact, meaningful career through its "Step Up for Schools" campaign. At CCCSD, we encourage our students to explore teaching as a career through our Future Educators Club.

CES Kids Heart Challenge
Churchville Elementary School has been supporting the American Heart Association for 22 years! Last year, CES ranked #4 in NYS for their fundraising efforts and was recognized as a leader in supporting the AHA. The school continues to participate in the Kids Heart Challenge to teach students about the importance of heart health, exercise and giving back to others. This year, they honored their own CES heart hero and raised over $28,000!

Congratulations to Coy and Cael Raines for an OUTSTANDING wrestling season. Both won Section V Titles in their respective weight classes at the February 4 sectionals at MCC. And that was just the beginning...

Reading is an essential skill for success, but it can be a difficult one to master. At Fairbanks Road School, third and fourth grade students are getting the extra help they need to become lifelong learners and enthusiastic readers.
 
More Exciting Career Connections
This month, our fifth and sixth graders had the opportunity to learn about careers in agriculture, culinary and medical laboratory technologies through the Career Connections program. Experts in these fields visited the classroom to share knowledge, answer questions and offer hands-on learning experiences.
