Incident involving football players
Ten Churchville-Chili Varsity football players were involved in a physical altercation on school property after the football game on Friday, October 1. This incident involved Churchville-Chili students past and present only. It did not involve students from any other district. A complete investigation of the incident has taken place by school administration and coaching staff. During the investigation it came to light that there was prior planning between both groups to have a confrontation in a location away from District personnel. Therefore, students involved in the altercation were disciplined as outlined in the district’s Code of Conduct. The Monroe County Sheriff’s office is also investigating this incident and the District is pursuing criminal charges against the other individuals. The administration takes into consideration the severity of the behavior of each individual student any time disciplinary action is taken. The District also makes it clear that it expects the public to adhere to our Code of Conduct while on school property as well.
