Two SHS concert choir members to perform at Roberts Wesleyan College

Two Churchville-Chili students have been selected to perform in the Roberts Wesleyan First Inaugural Honors Choir Festival this weekend!  Both Jaclyn Breeze (sophomore) and  LaMont Haywood (junior) are members of Concert Choir and the extracurricular ensemble, Off the Beat.  See them perform at Andrews B. Our own flute trio, Jaclyn Breeze, Alyssa Parkman and Laura Freeman, participated in the recent Masterclass held by distinguished flutist Dr. Christopher Chaffee.  Chaffee and his accompanist, Joshua Nemith, held several workshops, an open Masterclass for area flutists and a free concert for the community during their visit. Churchville-Chili: Making Strides Against Breast Cancer

On Sunday October 19, over 100 athletes and 6 coaches from Churchville-Chili participated in the Making Strides Walk Against Breast Cancer at Frontier Field. This is the 10th year in a row that the cross country teams have participated in this event. They were joined this year by girls’ volleyball, swimming, tennis and JV soccer. Former C-C Superintendent David Ryan honored for contributions to district

A dedication ceremony was held on Oct. 14 in memory of David P. Ryan, who served as district superintendent from 1980 through 1996. A plaque honoring Ryan was presented to the Senior High School Library in recognition of Ryan’s contributions to education and his love of reading. His widow, Ruth Ann Ryan, was in attendance, along with other members of his family. Guests included several associates... more info

CESPA Book Fair at CES!

CES Fundraiser: Save Around Rochester Coupon Books

CES students are selling the Save Around Rochester 2015 Coupon books.  The books are $20.00 each and available through Thursday, October 9.  Please return all coupon books or orders and money to the Main Office by Thursday, October 9.  

25 years of “Just getting the message across” - Fire Prevention Week

Captain Chris Buss and Firefighter Leslie explain the danger of matches and how to survive a fire.
Dedicated volunteers from the Churchville Fire Department are visiting Fairbanks Road School and Churchville Elementary in recognition of Fire Prevention Week—as they have been doing for 25 years. Jim Kurycki, the fire prevention coordinator for all those years, now retired but still an active participant, says the event has helped generations of kids understand what to do in case of a fire. ... more info
