CRS Teacher receives Golden Apple Award from channel 8

On October 20, third grade teacher Ms. Beth Regoni received a surprise visit from Channel 8's Kevin Doran who visited the school to present her with the Golden Apple Award. Regoni was nominated by one of her students, Julia Lennon. CES hosts Senior Citizens of Riga group

C-C instrumentalists participate in Hochstein Junior Wind Symphony

Students from our seventh-and-eighth grades represented the Churchville-Chili district on Oct. 18 at the 2014 Annual Junior Wind Symphony Concert at Hochstein, directed by John Rolland. SHS Musical Auditions open to third and fourth graders

Auditions for third-and-fourth-grade students for this year’s Senior High School musical, “The Wizard of Oz” will be on Thursday, Nov. 6, from 5-6:30 p.m. in the C-C PAC. Parents of any students wishing to audition must attend the mandatory parent meeting on Wednesday, Oct. 29, at 6:00 p.m. in the MS Forum. Email with any questions.

Churchville-Chili: Making Strides Against Breast Cancer

On Sunday October 19, over 100 athletes and 6 coaches from Churchville-Chili participated in the Making Strides Walk Against Breast Cancer at Frontier Field. This is the 10th year in a row that the cross country teams have participated in this event. They were joined this year by girls’ volleyball, swimming, tennis and JV soccer. Former C-C Superintendent David Ryan honored for contributions to district

A dedication ceremony was held on Oct. 14 in memory of David P. Ryan, who served as district superintendent from 1980 through 1996. A plaque honoring Ryan was presented to the Senior High School Library in recognition of Ryan’s contributions to education and his love of reading. Dedicated volunteers from the Churchville Fire Department are visiting Fairbanks Road School and Churchville Elementary in recognition of Fire Prevention Week—as they have been doing for 25 years. Jim Kurycki, the fire prevention coordinator for all those years, now retired but still an active participant, says the event has helped generations of kids understand what to do in case of a fire. ... more info
