Create a handmade item in this hands-on sewing class!  Start with a little hand-sewing and finish with sewing on a machine.  Learn to work from a pattern resulting in a successful project.  For this project, students will need to purchase and bring two yards of fabric.  Suggested fabrics:  cotton blends, canvase, denim or twill.  (For students entering Grades 4 and up.)

Comfy Lounge Pants

Scrappy Quilting

Wrap up in a snuggly quilt that you made!  During this session, you will be making a quilt using scraps of fabrics.  The design and color will be unique to your own style.  This type of quilting is done totally by machine.  Participants must have some sewing machine knowledge.  No need to have quilting experience.  Participants are welcome to bring scraps of material of colors they prefer.  Other supplies are included in the fee.   (For students entering Grades 8 and up.)

Stylin' Pajama Pants

Sleep in style wearing the professional looking pajama pants that you made!  As you make your pajama pants, you will learn measuring techniques, how different fabrics drape on your body, and some different sewing techniques.  Students should come prepared with Simplicity Pattern 9871, fabric of your choice, and the notions (elastic and coordinating thread) recommend on the pattern directions.  Please wash fabric before first class.  (For students entering Grades 8 and up.)
