A CRS Family in Need

A letter from Miss Burnett:

I am Morgan Yasol    and I am William Yasol.

We are in Miss Burnett’s kindergarten class. Unfortunately our mom has been diagnosed with breast cancer. She is very sick and very worried she may not have much time left with us. The doctors have told mom not to tell us that she will be o.k. but to explain the cancer to us and share the facts about her treatment.

Our mom wants to say THANK YOU for taking such good care of us! She is thankful C.R.S. is such a warm and caring place. She has expressed to Miss Burnett that knowing we will have support here at school is the most important thing to her.

Miss Burnett knows our dad lost his job. Miss Kurlan is working to connect us with agencies that can help us. We were truly touched to find gift cards in our home folders from those of you who have heard our story and want to help. This is an amazing community! There is now an envelope in the main office. If you would like to make a donation just see Mrs. Stowe.

Thank you for reading our story and supporting us during this challenging time (a smile, kind words, listening ear…)!

Sincere thanks!   Miss Burnett

Matt St. James is a 2003 Churchville-Chili High School graduate, who holds the 1600 meter track record. He graduated from Roberts Wesleyan College in 2007 with a degree in Social Work. As an undergraduate, Matthew was a top runner on the Cross Country and Track teams for four years. He was out running every day, giving it his all. On March 14, 2007, Matt was running at practice on the outdoor track when he had cardiac arrest with a brain injury as a result, and is now at St. Mary’s Hospital. Matt has come a long way since that day. This running event is to help with the medical expenses and a chance to come together and show our support to Matt. As a group, we have reached our first goal as Matt has returned home to live.
